Those who moved to Vegas in the last year, is all you hoped it would be?
Main Post:
Edit: Actually meant last 5 years.
Asking as someone who has been here 23 years. Anything that didn't live up to expectations? Anything that exceeded expectations? Anything that surprised you?
Top Comment: Arrived this year. It’s not perfect but I’m finding I’m much happier here than my hometown in the midwest. I’ve made quite a few friends and there’s just so much more to do here than there ever was back home. I also went through a lot of “life changes” alongside my move here so I suppose I can’t attribute all of my happiness to my geographic location but I’m having a good time here.

Top Comment: My friend does professional pool and he told me there’s groups there that specialize in robbery, they watch for winners and follow them. He won a few thousand dollars and later that night a few guy stormed his room, beat him senseless and robbed him of his winnings.
What do you love about living in Las Vegas
Main Post:
This is not a new topic. But, I’ve been living here for 5 years now. I like my life here. The positives far outweigh the negatives. Everywhere else we go, we see some positives. But a lot of negatives too.
However, if you look at Reddit, it’s full of negativity about living in Vegas. So, I thought, we can do our part and share a few more positives that we like / love about Vegas. You know, to bring some balance to the conversation.
So, what do you love about living in Vegas?
